Oh, give them some leeway at least. They didn't expect 102 NDP seats or a con majority either. They were expecting the liberals to take some losses but not fold outright. Anyone who predicted otherwise 2 weeks ago that the Bloc would have 4 seats and the NDP would bust 100 would have been laughed at. They got blindisded just like everyone else.
Some slack? I was at the bus stop pre-election and asked the young mom there about her political opinions and she commented about "that guy everyone hates, Ignatieff". I have several letters from Liberal MPs indicating that Ignatieff was a loose canon of a leader. That the hacks are the last to find out is something of a problem, socially.
