Honor killings are barbaric. So is any culture that allows them or tolerates them in any way, shape, or form.

And other countries would call a culture filled with guns and violence barbaric.

I hate political correctness... anyone who kills a woman for honour, should suffer the same fate. My government should have the balls to say it!

He's 40's year old, has he been living under a rock ?

I believe in womens rights, I believe in the civil union between same sex couples and the rights and benifits that entails. I believe in the freedom of assembly and freedom of expression without fear of retribution from my government. Some other cultures and countries obviously do not. And how they treat some people is not only barbaric but abhorrent.

But then Justin is taking a play from pop's multicultural playbook where every one is equal. We aren't. We're much more advanced culture compared to others out there, not only that we're fucking better.

People need to be reminded of these sort of issues and how we view them as bluntly as possible.

Somehow I doubt he was ever a runner up for valedictorian during his scholastic adventures.

What a stupid race we have become

The problem is that we do want to be open to new ideas, but this kind of behavior is barbaric and I don't think we should be afraid to say so even if (God Forbid) some stone age group gets offended. It is the 21 Century. We as a species should be evolving to something better.

Or

Is this a case where one group of people's evolves to something better and others mutate?

Seems to be an issue only with those who don't understand class, style, diplomacy and semantics. Who think gov't literature that represents the country should be written by a lout like Joe the Plumber who's too boorish to say "no, that's unacceptable" without adding an insult on the end.
Of course it fucking barbaric. Trudeau would even say that. But you don't write it that way on a goddam government document.

You got to remember that 'to be understood, one must speak in a language that will be understood clearly'! Many of the people whom this document is directed at are coming from countries where such 'barbaric atrocities' are quite acceptable. Past/present statistics regarding immigrants to Canada prove that 'the kinder, gentler' approach just simply was not getting through to some people. ' The 'barbaric atrocities' are still being practised by some here in Canada today! 'No, no, my Dear, you musn't do that', just ain't getting thru to some of these poor misunderstood folks'!

O'really ?

Why the fuck not if that's what it means? Why does our government have to embrace the practice of being a limp weenie with this beating around the bush shit when it comes to what we really want to say ?

Happy St.Pats

Top of the morning to ya !
