Yes,they were formed to compete against the other unions,a rat union,you had to be a union at that time to get the work in BC.The Alberta public unions actually have a site devoted to killing clac.

So the CLAC undercut other unions, so I suppose thier members get a lesser wage than the other unions. And they still have to pay dues too? Sucks to be them.

It's a "rat" union,and they do get lesser wages,that's how they compete.

Iam a union member, but not buy choice, the company I work for is a union company . I much dislike the union . The question I have to ask is this. Has any one ever taken thier union to court to have thier dues refunded due to no repersentation. USW 7135 refuses to answer any call email or fax sent to them, nor dose the head office of USW. This is over a WSIB claim
Any thoughts or ideas? Dose any of you know how to bring charges against the union via union laws? Has any one taken thier union to small claims court?
