Making everyone equally poor seems to be the hallmark of those trying to create socialist utopias.
Making almost everyone equally poor is pretty much the American capitalist system right now - SAVE THE RICH! Tax the snot out of the rest of them, reduce their entitlements and let them know it is their fault, not the greedy banks, not the greed on Wall Street and not the trillions spent on bombs and tanks that has got them into this mess.
What’s the difference between a capitalist utopia and a socialist utopia? In a socialist utopia we are equally poor with access to basic things like healthcare, in a capitalist utopia we are all equally poor, except the rich who get money from the poor to stay rich, and without the basic entitlements that our tax dollars are supposed to pay for (but that money went to the banks and the corporations to pay for bonuses and jets).
How’s that capitalist utopia coming along now?
