An example was Québec's appeal to the Hollywood cartel during the 80s. As a result, they since release their movies in French and English simultaneously. Their own Spanish community took the same approach and have also gained the same cultural acceptance.

What hasn't changed is federalist agenda to eat away at Québec culture any which way they can. Or, are your refering to the fact Québec was flooded with immigrant instant votes prior to that referendum? That fiasco may turn out to be a blessing in disguise, many of these immigrants as well as their children have come to appreciate Québec and are sovereignists today. Many of them have values of integrity and don't appreciate perpetual and rampant corruption in federal government.
Your gonna die a sad man bro
I live in Québec so I'm quite happy, thank you. Regarding the currency, Quebec would likely use Canadian currency, BUT, this would be a form of sovereignty-association. They wouldn't be fully independent.....they also wouldn't have their own military--MINOR DETAIL. HAHA. They hate fighting anyway, right?

I hope you don't think the federalist leaders should refuse the sovereignty even if we had a majority ( 50%+1 ). We "hate fighting" because we are pro-democracy nation so don't think we will let you do this. For example in the 19th century it was really not a real democracy because they were a majority of french speakers in England's North America colonies. The names Lower Canada (french) and Upper Canada (english) was geographical and social (hierarchy). The political system was unfair and undemocratic, the parti patriote sent 92 resolutions to the King, hoping that he will accepts at least few of them. The King didn't even accept one, it leads to the 1837-1838 rebellion, the patriotes won the first battle but the Empire sent troops, fought the rebels with canons and burned houses with innocent civilians inside.

The Constitution of 1867 was just another trick to place us in minority without our opinion, still the same BS: "work for us, obey our orders in english and shut your mouth".

I won't talk against the massive immigration of the Irish, some of you might call me a racist. I've nothing against the Irish nor all the Anglo-Saxons but against English totalitarism. Hopefully the Irish, most of them, learned to speak the language of the majority (french), they didn't integrate the montrealers community ( rich english pro-monarchy from Montreal since few years or decades only), they were working with the french in farms or factories so they learned how to speak the language. Do you blame the french "canadians" to have assimiled the Irish ?

Nowadays, Canada just can't refuse to give us sovereignty if we win the referendum. The UN will be on our side and the US army or anyelse army won't help the Canadian army to invade and "take back" Québec.
They hate fighting anyway, right?
Depends on what kind of fighting you're talking about. If it is about fighting wars for the 'greater good of ruling empires', the answer to your question is yes. Until very recently, whenever the British empire was at war so was automatically one of its 'subject' country, Canada. Québec always fought back against conscription to fight 'Britain's' wars. Today, the new empire is American and Québécers are still against wars for the empire's sake. If it wasn't for the fact that hundreds of thousands of Québécers protested loud and clear against the Iraq war and also for the fact that a provincial election was just around the corner, there is a very good chance Chrétien would have followed up and joined with Bush, Blair and Howard on the illegal assault of Iraq. No secrets there.

As for fighting for one's survival as a nation, as a people and for its unique culture, Québécers are still here after 400 years of history and they are still fighting back. Canadians on the other hand have only been fighting (are they really ?) their American's neighbor cultural assimilation for the past few decades and they are losing the battle. Give it a few more decades and at this speed of integration and assimilation, Québécers will still be Québécers but Canadians will have become little more than another name given for Americans like in Texans, Virginians, Californians, Canadians, etc...
A black over an Anglo--God you Quebecers are socialist. How sad and funny.
That's right, Québécers would prefer a woman, a black or a homosexual over an anglo to be their prime minister. This has nothing to do with socialism, it is merely a question of trust. You learn from history and far too many times in Québec's own, anglo-saxons have proven themselves to be untrustworthy.
