Delenda, this story about a Bloc MP not giving out Canadian flags is not Quebec bashing. I was outraged when I saw him on T.V saying he wouldn't do it because he wouldn't feel right because he was a seperatist. Did it ever occur to him that those veterans didn't vote for him? I believe that this is just going to hurt the Bloc because people who voted for the Bloc to punish the Liberals will probably vote for a federalist party next time.

Dino the story is not Québec bashing and Delenda did not say it was either. However, take a look at the comments from Canadians. I mean some of these are vicious, downright racist and not addressed at the Bloc MP, but rather at Quebeckers as a whole. <br /> <br />If we were to follow the same logic, all Canadians would be frauds and criminals because of the Liberal sponsorship scandal. Anything concerning Quebec, and I mean anything, is meant to fuel anti-Quebec sentiments. Every week and I would say almost daily, a sound-off is open on a Quebec issue. We all know what the outcome is, don't we? Read the next part of the answer that I haven't cut and paste and you will see we're not talking about the flag anymore. It escalates into a vicious battle and hatred towards Quebec and Quebeckers, and this is repeated over and over and over and over again everytime an issue on Quebec is displayed. As I said, I tried to post there but my posts were not published. This most stop. <br /> <br />I was not even aware of this story (Bloc MP) until I logged on on Canada.com and saw all that hatred. A story like this, to me, isn't worth putting in the sound-off. <br />I don't know who monitors that hateful site, but it is worth investigating into. <br /> <br />

The issue is not wether or not he has to hand out flags(although Dr.Caleb's post earlier suggests that maybe he does...). The issue is that he should have more respect for a war hero. He should have the decency to put aside his partisan b.s. for a moment and do a favour for someone who risked his life defending democracy.<BR><BR>P.S. I'm certain the selection of Sound-Off topics is meant to generate that sort of low-brow commentary. That doesn't mean the story was written for the Sound-Off section, or to illicit that response.

Funny how the same people who bash Quebec are the ones pushing for further Canada-US integration, privatisation, etc. <br /> <br />I'm surprised the Fraser Institute doesn't publish studies on how Quebeckers eat babies...
