Sorry if the e-mail hasn’t arrived Calumny. Here is Mr Anders’ translated letter which according to Vive’s new member Delenda Carthago was printed last Wednesday in Le Droit newspaper. She/he and probably many Québécers also must be wondering, is this what Canadians think of Québec and independantist Québécers ?

_______________________________________

Canadians, at least those who live in the ROC and those who have not yet had the courage to leave Québec, have had enough of Bernard Landry's stupidities, of separatists, nationalists and anti-non-francophones.

We are impatiently awaiting the next referendum, because next time the « péquistes », the bloquistes and all other anti-Canadians set out to obtain independance for Québec, we will be there to help them with the ‘Oui’. We will help you become independant inside the frontiers we will have consented to.

We will even help you pack your bags. We will at last be rid of your childishness, your pig-headedness, your tantrums, your demands, your whims and your propagandas which have divided the people and created a climate of discord and linguistic apartheid by using linguistic and cultural terrorism.

For too long, you have behaved as blood sucking vampires towards other provinces, by demanding outrageous amounts in order to maintain a standard of living you have no right to because you don’t even have the heart to develop your own economy. It is much easier to live off someone else’s efforts, blood and work. It is even easier when the Canadian government is in Québécers’ control, or should I say, closet separatists. This also will end. Despite your efforts to frenchify Canada, Canada will resort to being Canadian again. Bilingualism is in the process of becoming extinct.

Where it is called for and justified, Canada could have been bilingual and people could have continued living harmoniously despite their linguistic and cultural differences. But your antagonisms and your blackmailing have tilt the boat, and now, we are saying « enough ». We will not yield. And the separation you are looking for will be a complete separation : no canadian dollars, no passports etc…

Just the same, we will wish you a good run on your little fake-french satellite in the middle of a non-francophone ocean. Maybe then will you take a good measure of reality. But because we are so tolerant and generous, as we have proven ourselves to be for past centuries, we will wish you good luck.

Maybe we, the ROC, will at last find social and political peace and economic renewal, now that we don’t have to maintain, nor yield to your blackmailing and spoiled brat tantrums.
We will then wish Mr. Landry, the best of luck in his endeavors.
