Me and my girlfriend decided to start up a canadian based dog website the other day. We just adopted a 6 month old Labrador last month. Before we were able to get our lab, we looked all around Vancouver looking through all the SPCAs and animal shelters to find the perfect dog. What we realized was, there were A LOT of dogs out there who are in desperate need of a home. Most of them were abandoned because their owners did not know how to give them the proper care. Most of the dogs were abandoned because of pre-teen behaviors that are present in all dogs, which included mouthing, which scared a lot of people.
To keep a long story short, our intent is to bring dog lovers together to create a good learning environment. It'll be a site for owners and potential owners to get further educated and gives them a chance to help each other out and get helped out.
K9 Canada will be a non-profit website, just a place for dog talk.
Everyone is welcome on the board. By joining the board, you must follow our moral and ethics, which means everyone is indeed welcome, but any breeders of any type will not be allowed to many any advertising posts.
