Do we actually know how much of the CBC budget was cut in the last 20 years, and by who? I heard it was cut in half, mostly by the Liberals. Is this true?

This is why you should help the Friends of CBC to end patronage appointments at CBC.

Yeah, when thinking people discuss real issues it isn't nearly as exciting as a couple of talking calling each other names. It is a lot more interesting though.

Did any of these networks inform you of the complaint of Perjury I made against the comissioner of the RCMP,
involving his testimony before the Senate of Canada
regarding the DNA data bank legislation?

They all dance to the same drum.
Dennis Baker

Maybe we should scrap CBC radio 2 and use the money to strengthen Radio one . Those who like to listen to snobby music can buy an MP3, and not let their preferences threaten funding for CBC radio one. We don't need to waste scarce resources to broadcast what anyone can get cheaply from an MP3.
While cruising Barclay Sound I found that I could only get CBC while in Ucluelet on FM ,yet there are some coastguard radio antenae on a mountain that would give line of sight to all of Barclay Sound, including Bamfield. I don't belive the coastguard would object to CBC putting an FM tower on their mountain alongside their equipment , giving good line of sight FM reception all over the sound and beyond. I wonder if this is the case in many locations all over Canada.
Brent
