Streaker Streaker: Blue_Nose Blue_Nose: Here's another utility for the DJs... get rid of those awkward silences during the song transitions with this Winamp plugin... http://www.winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=32368It actually analyzes the song and picks the right spot to fade out/in, so it sounds really good... The regular crossfader in Winamp is crap, and the other one I tried, FadeAmp, is too complicated. This plugin really works well, I recommend it too. A question, BN: When this thing installed in winamp it worked fine right away for playback - is it necessary to do any fancy configuration stuff for it to work for shoutcasting? Nope... works fine, as far as I know.

Cool. One less thing to deal with as I prepare my "extravaganza".

One thing about the plugin though, don't skip tracks with it. Other than that it works great.

Why? You can get it to crossfade on skip, seek, and stop...

Maybe it's just me, but when I skip tracks, the songs mish-mash together unpleasantly.

Oh yeah... but if you go to the plugin configuration, you can adjust the crossfade durations, etc... it was a little slow for me, too, so I changed it.

Alright. Usually that only happens when somebody else is DJ'n. I'm going to play some jazz for about an hour and half while you read up the SC FAQ's

Can you use this broadcaster without winamp? It's been acting up on me lately, so I'm not sure that I'd want to do a broadcast with it any more.

yes this is an alternative to winamp. It is more complicated, so might take a bit to get used too.

Looks pretty fancy for being free... no strings or anything?
