The ShoutCast plugin will only allow you to connect if there is no DJ currently broadcasting. Once you have all the fun address stuff filed out you simply connect with the plugin then play your stuff in WinAmp and will broadcast over the station.

ok i got that listen.pls thing too...... if i click save then nothing happens after the save is done. if i click open, it gives me the thing that asks you what application u want to use to open it with.

so basically for CKA radio winamp is useless to me. when it first started up winamp worked great.

so i use windows media. that works fine

oh, and if i open winamp separately, and then tell it to stream CKA radio (open url) then it says it's streaming but nothing happens.

When I click on the Windows Media Player CKA Radio works great and kicks @SS!!! However when I click for WinAmp or iTunes I get a pop-up for a file download and it asks me where I want to save a file named listen.pls??? What is this all about and do I need to save it somewhere for it to work???

I get the same thing, except it does load into iTunes directly, it jstu wont play. It shoudl work, other stations run through iTunes, I cannot figure out why it wont.

For WinAmp - just OPEN the pls file, don't save it.

Canadaka, there's something screwy with the radio... it boots me off, or something. Happened to me several times on Sunday, and again today.

Either that or this "DjNolaN" character kicked me off without asking.

I left a post over the weekend on the Power Hour forum telling Newfie's guys to come in and say hello before they DJ and communicate with the rest of us(including all CKA forum members) because this is where most of their listeners are currently coming from.

yes, i let Djnolan and Heavy now.

I had some objections to them making a site like that for these reasons, disconnects the dj's for dj-dj communication. Plus they would get more attention and feedback if they posted here.

The clan server was down last night. so it was causing the page to load slower becaus the ticker wasn't loading. I will put the ticker back now.

I tested the kick page, still works fine, kicked myself.

you only get around 10sec to connect after you boot someone before they auto-reconnect.
