So, what with my old computer being dead, most of my music collection, about 1300 songs, is now on my iphone only. There might be a couple hundred songs that were purchased legitimatly thru itunes and are recoverable that way, but the rest are from lo's of different sources. Many of them legit, but a lot of them date way back to irc days and Napster BM(before metallica).

Does anyone know a way to get the songs off the iphone and onto my new pc? I found a few programs online that say they do it, but they all cost money. I'm willing to spend the money if I have to, but only it'll actually work.

I would think that you download Itunes to your new PC then sync for Iphone. Copy and paste the playlists.

No?

Nope. If i sync it just syncs the phone with the itunes. That is, it erases everything off the phone to make it the same as what's on the puter, rather than the other way around. Cause that would be too easy... damn apple!

Yet another reason why I wont get an iPhone. You want to know how I put movies, music, comics ect on my android? Connect it as a storage device, open the file in the phone, copy/paste, disconnect.

Plug your iPhone into the computer and open itunes. Click on your device on the lefthand menu. Then drag down to "Options". Click on the box that says "Sync only checked songs and videos". Then just uncheck all the songs on your itunes library playlist and do a sync. Should be wiped free.

I'm relatively confident that this is my first post under "Computer Tech & Internet".

Your skill set continues to astound Lemmy. Especially as you are half-Jockenise!

You can buy a 3rd party program that allows you to copy music files from your ipod to your computer. Just look it up online. There might be a way to do it without one but I have no idea how.

R=UP

I bought an Android tablet a few months ago and it is awesome - way better than my brother's iPad.
