So far, so good. I've got everything back except for my music/WMP. My speakers are working ok, but I can't access/find my music files as they appear to be 'hidden/moved/deleted'. The full list of my songs are still in the library. I have check-marked the 'show hidden files', and still cannot access them. The other thing is that even when I put a cd into my cd player no sound. I've checked all the 'volumes' and they seam to be set correctly. Also, is there some way to 'import' all my emails from my laptop onto my PC? Thanks
Which email program are you using?
If it's a Windows mail program...
Open Explorer and go to c:\Users\<put your user name here>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local Folders
Copy these folders to a CD DVD etc.
Put CD in desktop and open your mail program.
Select >file >import and follow the on screen instructions to import the files into your mail program.
Good luck.
Sound/music issues.
To find the music files, make sure you have administrative permissions.
Check the sound card to see if enabled as per the network card.

Don't know if it is 'something' I still need to set up or if it's just CKA, but I find the site to be veeeery slow, and also, even tho I 'check the box' each time, I still have to screw around getting 'logged in'!

If you're using Internet Explorer check as per below.....
Click to open Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Privacy tab, and then, under Settings, move the slider to the top to block all cookies or to the bottom to allow all cookies, and then click OK.

I've got it set at 'Accept All Cookies' now, have always had it set at Med before today. I'll try this tho. Thanks, Pluggy.

You reinstalled Windows? Look on your c: drive for Windows.0, .1, .old something like that. Your files will be in there, in Documents & Settings. If there isn't one you're hooped. You could buy a recovery and try it but....

I had to to a 'over-install as a repair. Pretty much got everything back in order except for logging onto CKA
Everytime I try I get one of these or similar. In any event, I have to reregister or 'usre name & password' which then sometimes results in a ' 404 file not found' Just frustrating is all. Would like to get this bug figured out!
