You're certainly going thru a lot of bullshit to run bullshit.
Go to control panel programs uninstall and get rid of every fucking thing to do with yahoo.
If you really want yahoo mail type mail.yahoo.com in your browser (which I hope isn't IE) and log in.

What I want is the regsvr32 jscript.dll working.
Which should make yahoo messenger work, which is the actual goal

Strangely enough, jscript is working.
If it wasn't, you should notice problems with other programs.

The problem IS Yahoo mail.

Messenger ;-)
But, why does it work on my other computer like it should, and does un-installing and installing it again not make it better?

Did you try the registry tool Scape suggested yet?

From what I read it's a rights / permission problem. There could be something left over in the registry after you remove the program thats buggering you up. Problem is if you re-install it doesn't over write that file it just skips it if it thinks it's all ready on your computer (or something like that) and the problem remains.

Yep, both... Didn't do it either...
I ran the registry scan in his CCleaner link too, and that did not come up with anything related to yahoo or jscript. It had a few dll things, but way different...

On the pic Brenda you see the '+' symbol. Click on that and it will expand. Open it up all the way and you will see entries that are bolded. Select them for deletion. That will get rid of them outright so you can reinstall fresh without having to reinstall everything.

I finally gave in. Not only Yahoo didn't work, but now nothing responded anymore. 5 minutes, and that was it, after that, everything dead. When I got the warning "Windows Explorer is not responding", I was done. So, this morning, I finally decided it was mal-wared beyond repair, saved my shit and called the Toshiba help desk, because the disks I burnt didn't work, and the recovery thingy that they built in didn't work either. He gave me a nice little trick (VERY simple) and darlin'-puter was on the way back to recovery again. 2 hours later, it worked like a charm again.

Even yahoo works again! I'm still thinking that that 1 corrupted file messed with everything. But that is not important anymore :P
