I have a problem with my Yahoo messenger, I get blank screens, not able to read received messages, or see sent messages, as well as a blank history. So I went online, to figure out the deal, and was told to go into the command prompt and type regsvr32 jscript.dll and regsvr32 vbscript.dll. So I did, hoping that would solve the problem (this all after re-installing Java and Yahoo messenger 10). Anywho, the vbscript loaded without a problem, but the jscript gives me this:
What to do now?

Dll error... I'd just uninstall and reinstall it. That's always been the least frustrating avenue for me.

Still, those errors are common with IE corruption. You might use Chrome, but Yahoo Messenger may use IE.

To solve the call to “DllregisterServer failed with error code 0×80004005″ error, run a Command Prompt as Administrator. Alternatively, you can disable User Access Control too, or login with Administrator account.
To solve this, Go to Start --> All Programs --> Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator

Here's what I did so far, and with starting this topic, I fucked up by not running the jscript.dll in admin mode. Now I did, and it loaded. With that, according to all searches I did, my blank Yahoo screen should be fixed. But it isn't. So I guess the jscript.dll 0x 80004005 thingy is ok now, but it still doesn't solve my blank yahoo screen

When you uninstalled did you remove the registry entries?

Now my screen is blank and my history is blank. When I got online and searched for "blank Yahoo screen", the most answers I found was "go to commmand prompt in admin, and type regsvr32 jscript.dll, hit ok, then regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and hit ok, and that should solve it. It didn't... I uninstalled Yahoo in the "programs and features"-thingy (more than once...) downloaded Yahoo messenger 11 beta, downloaded IE 9 for Windows7, but the problem still exists... I don't get any regsvr32 fail messages anymore tho, so that works...

Try that. Didn't work :/ Connection to Yahoo has failed. How 'bout that?
