^^ That. Sometime updating them breaks them. I just leave things alone unless the updates fix a bug I am experiencing.

I usually only resort to CC or similar apps when I encounter a problem. 10-15 years ago it was absolutely necessary to use such things, but these days Windows handles these things very well.

Yesterday I shutdown my PC removed my aging Radeon 5870 and put in a brand new R9 380, restarted, then downloaded the latest Drivers and video card software. Everything went without a hitch.

10-15 years ago attempting such a thing would probably have hosed my Windows install. I certainly don't miss those days.
