The smartphone wars are in full swing, with iPhone stealing the early smartphone market from old platforms Windows Mobile & Blackberry. But the fast growing Android has not surpassed iPhone market share in north america and world wide. Now Windows Phone is back and off to a decent start and blackberry is trying to hold on.

Which platform are you using right now? What smartphone do you own?

I have the HTC Desire running android. I 'rooted' my phone to run a custom ROM running Android 2.2

I have the same phone, I've never owned an iPhone but I just didnt like the interface. I had a Blackberry Storm before and it was crap, it would freeze and shut down at random times.

Old school phone - some sort of Motorola flip phone - through AT&T - costs me $10 a month for unlimited calls, no internet, and no text.

I want one that makes phone calls. I had to get a Blackberry. I hate it.

The incessant nag SMS's to update Blackberry app world drive me nuts, and when I upgrade it to make it stop, it costs me $12 in data charges (despite having a data plan, and no other data in a month).

And Bell still cannot explain the data charges, which is why I hated having them auto debit from my credit card every month. Despite lack of explanation, they still are willing to pay themselves for it.

I'm playing around with the Android 3.0 SDK emulator for their upcoming Android Tablet centered OS.

Used to have Nokia with Symbian but switched to the Iphone 3 years ago. Never unlocked it, never felt the need.

I voted old school.

Thinking that it meant "You had no cell phone".

I only use the modern version one of these instead....

Now that's old school.

I have a new BlackBerry Curve 9300 - 3G with a 4gb memory card. It's my 3rd BB and I like it. Got my wife a iPhone 4 a few weeks ago and have been playing around with it, although its just the same as my iTouch but with out the ability to call. Seems more a novel toy and has a crappy keyboard. Its slower to use and easier to make more typing errors. Also very slippery to hang on to if you don't buy a $35+ cover for it.............or the $17 screen protector.

Old School Nokia that's currently been discontinued. Doesn't even have a camera in it and I can't figure out how to get it to text. 8O

The whole thing is a telus plan that's prepaid through 7-11. Works great for me since the minutes don't expire till the end of the year and I can usually get away with $50.00 per annum rather than a monthly plan. [B-o]

Motorola VM 750. Gots a camera & net and all kinds of other stuff I don't use. Just got it cause it was included with telus. All I use it for is " Hello" "Good-bye" and "Kiss my ass"!
