the bill is a stupid idea... people have become so emotionally unbalanced to any perceived inconvenience that they go off the deep end and do things like this. Airlines provide a service... it's not your God-given right to be able to fly across the country in mere hours... if you think they're abusing you as a passenger feel free to hitch your horse-team up to a covered wagon and get it done yourself...

I don't think it's to much to ask to let passangers off a plane that is delayed for 8 hours as opposed to making them sit inside it for hours on a hot runway with no food or beverages.

I don't think it is such a bad idea...
Being stuck in a hot airplane, no airco, not knowing why... I hate it. I rather wait at the terminal, where I can get something to eat and drink. Especially with small children. If this makes the airliners look at the passengers as people instead of cargo, even if it is just to save money, a battle is won.
