What a load of crap, storing it underground. Shoving our pollutants back into the ground to what?? Seep into ground water supply, leak out into the environment?

LOL. Yes, polluting the ground water with an insoluble chemical that originally came out of the ground. Ever open a can of pop?

CO2 capture is responsible for a good deal of the oil boom that Saskatchewan is seeing. It's allowing stubborn oil to be extracted from porous rock that normally would be inaccessible.

The money stays here,we develop the technology and sell storage space to the ROC for co2.

Beats giving it to china for carbon credits and we maximize our well production so no reserves are wasted.

I love this comment after the article.

I hope the carbon deposit site is in a valley. That way the diesel belching tanker trucks can roll downhill to deliver their loads of CO2. Keep the tire-print as small as possible. Remember Lake Nyos in Cameroon? Albertans better carry a personal oxygen tank when the CO2 leaks. One advantage of having the CO2 stored is when the temperature cools as it has since the mid 1990's we can open the taps to bump the temperature up a notch or two. It will cost some people mega bucks and will be known as 'reverse carbon credits'

Yeah, that comment was good.

Oh, and for the record, I'm a born and raised northern Albertan. My first comment posted on this thread was to beat anyone else to the punch. I just love comments like that about us.

Haha, mtbr gave me a negative point for my first post in this thread. I guess he/she doesn't enjoy sarcasm.
