I actually agree with Stelmach on this one. Ralph didn't build when it was cheap 'cause we were in debt, and he didn't build when we were out of debt because it was too expensive.

Fuck. That. Shit.

If we need something built, we should build it now while it's cheap. The Henday / Stoney Plain Road interchange just came in 40% under budget. Build that sucker.

I say good for Ed.

If I thought I could trust them to just spend the $6 billion the article mentions, then I'd support it too.

But the PCs have been down this road many times and before you know it, we'll have a shitload of debt and some loud mouth will replace Ed and tell us all to tighten our belts and cut services, privatize more provincial departments, and make us suffer, simply because they have no self-control when it comes to spending.

I agree with Hurley. Were getting 5% on investments, and pay 1% or less on borrowing . . plus we already have a huge infrastructure debt from King Ralph. It's better to borrow at 1% then to spend our savings earning that kind of interest.

Your right hurley, all these road building companies have bought a lot of equipment over the last couple of years, And right know there's not much happening and their hungrey. I think Harper offered up $100M to twin the TC at Lake Louise, that contract was just awarded for $60M.

Sounds good to me. Maybe the twinning of #63 (a.k.a. the Highway Of Death) to McMurray can be revised to being finished "sooner" as opposed to the previous "eventually" of the Klein years. Too bad a hundred or so lives were lost in the meantime, though, to a truly severe case of government shortsightedness and neglect.

Thanks again, Ralph, just for being you. Prick.
