Update:

$1:
With the rumours about the fight still running rampant Tuesday, the principal of the high school felt he needed to clear the air with his students.

"We began the day today with every one of our teachers speaking in their classes and, first of all, providing the facts," Dan Lower said, to ensure every student knew what was rumour and what was true.

His next steps were to address any resulting concerns from the student body.

"I got word that there were kids who were outraged that this was being said and wanted to go and, you know, protest the protesters," he said.

"I asked them not to do that. Just spread the truth of our school: be polite, be respectful, as we ask everyone to be."

He also said the safety of the students was his main concern, and that staff will be taking suggestions and fielding questions from students over the coming days.

Khan spoke about the importance of integration between Canadians and Syrians. The Grade 11 student included herself among those who have to do better.

"They're not integrating with Canadian kids," she said. "We do need to work better in helping them."

"We need to educate people like this," Khan said later, away from the crowd. "We all need to get together as a city, as a community. We need to educate these people, and if they still don't want to be educated and they don't want to listen, then fine."

Yup, we need to educate dem stupid white people that their country is lost.

Add this to the list of Famous Last Words.

"Who cares about some crazy Bedouin?" is what the Jews of Mecca and Messina once said.

"Who care about a few white people landing at Plymouth Rock?" is what a few American Indians said.

"Who cares about a bunch of idiots in brown uniforms rabble rousing at a beer hall in Munich?"

"It's just one bomber flying over Hiroshima, who cares?"

"We're perfectly safe, who'd ever attack an Ariana Grande concert?"

"Who Cares about some Canadian Expeditionary Force?" - The Germans.

"Take Hill 677 for Mao!" - the Chinese army.

4 million vs 40,000 I like our odds.

So here's a couple of local yokels making claims in a vid titled "10 Syrian kids attack 1 student with belts, Red Deer Alberta."

But just look at them. Who cares what they have to say, right. It's like when all those chavs were saying they'd been gang groomed in Britain. We need some state sanctioned truth. Quick, to the CBC.

"Anti-immigration protest at Red Deer high school"

Well there you have it then. There were no belts. There was no 10 on 1. The CBC says so. They showed a video.

But hang on...sorry for noticing stuff, but didn't that video seem kind of strangely cut up? Gee, if only we had a more complete, less cut up version.

Here ya go:

"Syrian refugees clash with Canadian students in Red Deer"

The money shots are at the beginning.

So there was a belt. It was a larger group attacking what looks to be a single student at the start, at least. I'm sure the CBC just edited all that out accidentally though.

It's not lost, because we can now identify the problem.

$1:
Paula Simons: Travelling hate circus staged anti-Syrian protest in Red Deer based on lie

A gang of bigots and yahoos descended Tuesday on Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in Red Deer, mongering hate and nonsense.

Ostensibly, this was supposed to be a group of concerned parents worried about a violent incident at the school, supposedly carried out by a gang of Syrian refugees. The protesters claimed the Syrian boys had not been disciplined for their actions because of political correctness and cultural relativism.

It was a lie, from start to finish.

According to Red Deer RCMP, the actual incident began with a misunderstanding between two Grade 9 boys at a Red Deer skateboard park. A literal misunderstanding because one of the boys, a recent Syrian refugee with limited English, mistakenly believed the other boy had said something offensive.

The incident set off a series of frictions which culminated in a lunchtime brawl involving eight boys, including four Syrian refugees. A ninth non-Syrian kid — a former Thurber student who had been banned from the school property — also jumped into the fray. No one was injured. Police weren’t notified until the next day.

All eight Thurber students were suspended for five days, the maximum penalty under the School Act. Each will have to go through a readmission hearing before being allowed to return.

No one, says the school district, received special treatment because of religion or ethnicity. It was a garden variety schoolyard brawl, one Bruce Buruma, head of community relations for Red Deer Public Schools, described as a “dust-up.”

. . .

When it was all over, a group of Syrian students and a group of other Thurber students simply started playing soccer together, while two RCMP officers joined in. And Wednesday morning, when Const. Derek Turner went back to check in on things, the soccer game was back on.

And maybe, says Buruma, this week’s events will be a wake-up call and a teachable moment for staff and students — about the reality of fake news, the dangers of a social media hoax and the need for the school community to overcome differences and stand together.

White people, or any people, who get their news from social media and then go off half cocked with no facts based in reality, yes. They need some re-education.

There's an even better, more isolated view of the video that started this, here:

VIDEO: Watch As Syrian Refugees From Red Deer Beat Up Classmates

You'll see the belt strike with another guy looking like he's unfastening his. The gang grouping to attack is clearer and as it proceeds you'll hear a Canadian sounding voice calling for "One on One."

This is not the first case of problems with refugees in Canadian schools.

$1:
Last week an article by the Chronicle Herald detailed multiple instances of Syrian refugees assaulting Canadian children. The article featured comments by a woman nicknamed "Missy" who explained how her daughter had been choked with a chain and her son had been visibly threatened on the soccer field.

The story was pulled soon after it was posted with members of the left-wing media decrying the story as "racist," "Islamophobic," "xenophobic" or simply just not true.

And it's been coast to coast. Here's Edmonton. That report is part of a four parter from different Canadian cities based on Freedom of Information requests.

Langley

Southwestern Ontario

It isn't just bullying. Syrian Refugee School Sex Assault

So far there are only statements from people not there. Facts from those involved would be nice. Or failing that parents. Kids fight but parents know their kids and know if they are a hit first ask questions later or a long fuse taking lots of shit before hitting back.
