$1:
The article claims the number of people killed in the holocaust is grossly overestimated and it outlines the author's theories about why the atrocities were justified.

Isn't Holocaust denial still a crime in Canada ?

$1:
Matthews says, neither she nor the premier knew the article would be published when they bought advertising space in the magazine. Matthews says the advertising will stop.

The 'goverment' should be doing a lot more than this.

$1:
The publisher says he did not mean to incite hate. Both he and his son, Tarieq Shala, say there was some oversight in selecting the article.

Bullshit. This is a lie, they knew full well what they were publishing.
They just figured whitey is too fucking stupid to read sandycrap.

It's okay if a Muslim or a leftist does it.

To answer the question, it's not a crime in Canada, or anywhere except I believe Germany.

It can, however, be considered hate speech in Canada under certain circumstances.

See: Ernst Zundel. In the 1980s, Canada convicted him on a generic charge of "reporting false news" for the purpose of causing mischief. However on appeal the SCOC ruled that such an offence is unconstitutional and as a result he walked and that particular law no longer exists as an offence. Years later the Canadian Human Rights Commission but fled to Tennessee, and was ultimately deported back to Germany where he could finally be charged with holocaust denial.

I once heard one of these clowns like Zundel say the same thing, that the holocaust was exaggerated. That there were no more than 2 million killed. So then it was OK I guess. 8O
