Have to bite the bullet and admit that's fair comment, if we're teasing you guys about the snow in the Sahara.

It wasn't a comment so much as a tounge-in-cheek reminder that the part people forget about Global Warming is the 'Global' part. Severe weather events average out over the years and decades. That's how 'averages' are calculated. :)

Have a good Christmas Dawg! [B-o]

These guys are saying at the moment it's -26C feels like -35C
https://beta.theweathernetwork.com/ca/w ... north-pole

Maybe it's the weather channel, after all their keeping an eye on the weather for an imaginary man. It looks pretty normal to me.

Not the true NP ?

It's been weird here too in central BC. When I moved here, the idling moving truck melted a 2ft dip in the driveway a neighbour refilled and packed with his tractor. That was in January. Our house burned down end of Feb, it was -37 that night, water from the fire truck just turned into snow.
A couple years later, friend visited at Xmas and a couple of us got frostbite snowmobiling around the yard. Normal temp between Xmas and New Years was -40 or worse, the kids had quite a few days off of elementary school when the propane buses wouldn't flow, and I got rid of 2 propane powered vehicles within a couple years of moving here.
It's gradually got warmer the last 2 decades as any pine beetle can tell you. Or now, spruce beetles!
I remember waking up at the gf's apartment Jan 1st years back and panicking that someone was overflowing her sink. Turned out the snow was melting off the roof, it had shot up to +11 that New Years Day.
Last year we only had a couple days in the low -20s, this year an "abnormal" December in the -20s without any snow. Back to around 0 now and a mere 4" of snow out there.
Road bans are longer, breakup is longer, spring break at school is longer, logging's a shadow of what it was... that's why I don't stomach climate deniers. I just need to look out my window to see it.

Once the cold hit, been a pretty normal AB winter so far. Doesn't quite feel like a La-Nina yet, but we still have Jan and Feb to hit those -40 days...

Yeah, but what do they know? Lousy psion-teests with their figures and models and empirical observations. Boring! What's a jet stream anyway? I've never seen one with my own eyes. Have you? Just another thing they're lying to us about! I want to hear the real facts from the evangelical Senator who brought a snowball he made out of ice shavings he scraped out of his freezer onto the floor of the Senate. And from that guy in England with the bug eyes. And from Kirk Cameron's YouTube channel too. Image

It's from the Washington Post. We know all they print is lies. Until I hear it out of Trump's own ass mouth, I'm not gonna believe it.

Besides, it's not our fault and there's nothing we can do about it... so we might as well go with the flow.

I don't know what 'warming' is being reported. Barrow, Alaska right now is -4F and they average -7F on this day every year.

Three degrees is insignificant.

I'd agree, but it was pretty damn weird here already. Still is!
