You would have thought that there'd have been more outrage for this story than there has been? I wonder if it's because Illinois has some of the strictest gun laws in America it doesn't suit the media's current anti gun agenda? Or could it be because the guns they've managed to confiscate so far this weekend were mostly unregistered, stolen or illegally imported. A fact which puts paid to the myth that if we make people register their firearms from here on in, everything will be okay because it obviously won't or Chicago wouldn't be suffering though this deadly epidemic.

But good on the city of Chicago for doing it's best to show the hypocrisy of the mainstream media when it comes to mass murders and just because the dead people in Chicago weren't shot by the same person doesn't negate the fact that they're just as dead as the ones in Texas or Ohio.

Now don't get me wrong. I have no problem with wait times for gun purchases, background checks and denial based on the mental health of the applicant but, let's be real here, all those things will only work if you treat the root cause of the scourge and that's the mental health of the American public which has been on a downward spiral since August 13th 1970 when Alfred Kellum first went postal and decided to solve his employment anger issues with a gun.

Nope. Just like the two mass shootings this weekend; we've come to accept this the the country USAins want to live in. No point in discussing something that has happened 217 times in the last 217 days in the US.

This is obviously the way they want it, or they wouldn't break out the 'thoughts and prayers' every time it happens. They would fix the problem instead.

Illinois is right next to several states with very lax gun laws, Indiana in particular so without nation-wide gun control or enforced international borders between states, local gun control laws are useless

If state borders were enforced the way international borders are then state gun control would work because there would be checkpoints and inspections for contraband. It’s pointless to have different laws between open unenforced borders where people can easily drive a couple hours to load up on contraband without any problems

Nope. Would be "A pickup bed full of AK47s? Ok then, we're only checking for fruit, veggies and poached deer, on you way then!"
