O look it's Fred again 3rd time this week! What do you think his blood alcohol is tonight?
Hard for doctor's to assess health problems when patients can't answer questions cause they are 3 sheets to the wind.

$1:
If the allegations are true, such behaviour would have "affected profoundly patient care," Dix said.
If the allegations are false, the intended effect of the professional fear-pornographers will come about just as well!

Does the term
$1:
"affected profoundly patient care," Dix said.
mean the patients weren't treated in a timely and fair fashion which, would be the real problem. Or is that just an inflammatory insinuation tossed out so the gov't can be seen as taking action to stop what some consider racism?

So, unless Adrian Dix and staff can unequivocally prove that it negatively affected the treatment of the patient it's just another accusation that will be allowed to become the driving force in what will undoubtedly become just another witch hunt.

I'm sorry but this is much ado about nothing and if true could have been handled without all the hyperbole and public fan fair. I'm also pretty sure that the ER staff has other games that would horrify the perpetually butthurt that don't involve inebriated Natives. Games that they play to keep themselves sane and on an even keel in what is likely the most stressful and heartbreaking job in the medical profession.

$1:
A group of doctors and academics from across Canada say an Indigenous man who died while waiting for care in a Winnipeg emergency room in 2008 was killed by racism, and say the subsequent inquest into his death didn't address the real problem.

$1:
Sinclair was 45 when staff at a community health care centre sent him to the Health Sciences Centre to have a catheter changed on Sept. 19, 2008.

Thirty-four hours later, Sinclair was found dead in his wheelchair, after waiting in the hospital's emergency room for more than a day without being seen.

In an inquest into his death, health-care workers from the hospital said they'd assumed Sinclair was drunk and "sleeping it off," had been discharged previously and had nowhere to go, or was homeless and had come to avoid the cold.

Ignored to death: Brian Sinclair's death caused by racism, inquest inadequate, group says

Obviously these racist health care centers should be closed immediately!

That'll solve a lot of problems.

When you're passed out pissing yourself on your apartment floor, no one knows. When you;re passed out pissing yourself on the street you have no home so you get taken to emergency before the drunk tank.
So maybe Dix should do something about the root of the problem instead of outraging at the reaction of others who have to deal with the problem.
Believe me, I know. Half a dozen friends and business partners worked for the ambulance service and "drunk taxi" was half of their job.

Good point.
