I find it objectionable that this fellow is pretending to be surprised by gangsters renting his cars.
This lease company probably existed only for these gangsters.

If I modified a leased car, I'd be expected to pay for it.
Is this guy going after the gangsters for the cost of the cars and the damage to his business reputation?
If not, it's probably because he's their partner in crime and should have his business license pulled and be audited.

I'm not going to ask if you knew him because I don't want to know the answer to that. The guy was a punk and embarassment and it's sad that he was a hero to too many little assholes who now follow in his footsteps.

Someone called up on the radio with the idea that the reason the Bacon Brothers are now targets is because they turned snitch. Usually, we never hear of these gangsters if there is an investigation on them and these poor saps have been in the media constantly. If someone is snitching, that would result in arrests but I guess that's too much to ask for in BC.

omerta - This is just a case of the criminal element policing themselves.

Quote:
Omertà implies “the categorical prohibition of cooperation with state authorities or reliance on its services, even when one has been victim of a crime.” Even if somebody is condemned for a crime he has not committed, he is supposed to serve the sentence without giving the police any information about the real criminal. A common definition is the "code of silence". Within Mafia culture, breaking the oath of omertà is punishable by death

Wally Oppal was quite vocal about these hoods dealing out their own brand of justice so maybe that's the case. Too bad innocent folks keep getting killed in the way.
