Yes. Fine and prosecute the employers and the workers who violate the wage laws.
Why not? Why should a class of brigand workers be allowed to profit from an unfair advantage over people like yourself who obey the law?
Employment Standards legislation only applies to employers. It’s not a violation of any law to work for less than minimum.
Actually it is. If you’re working for less than minimum you’re working under the table no T4, no record, no taxes. And if you’re working or employing I doubt they care about the Employment Standards legislation. Well the employee might but seeing as the whole thing is illegal not much they can do.
