I assure you, I'm not siding with them. I'm merely questioning the morality of it. If rich people create an environment to extort the poor for their own ends, and use the wealth and power they've obtained to continually extort the poor, are the poor wrong for exacting (illegal) retribution?
The Greeks knew when they developed this concept of 'Democracy' that it would ultimately be about the poor ruling the wealthy, because all things being equal there simply would always be more poor than wealthy.
It's only when the wealthy found they could buy the politicians and make them create an economic system that favoured wealth that has changed many western democracies into another form of rule by the autocracy.
Who benefited by the repeal of inheritance tax? Who benefits when big business gets tax breaks? Who benefits when income from hedge funds or contractual bonuses is taxed at a lower rate than regular income?
The answer to none of those is 'the poor'.
