I don't see this the way the writer does, I figure they are putting these progressives demands up with a willingness to not get many if not any of them, for concessions in other areas which they really want to have.
I doubt this will work, especially if someone as stupid and simple as myself can see through the tactic.
They might be throwaway positions, you approach every negotiation
with a few points you don't really care about, but will use to get the things
you do want.
With Freeland and Trudeau, these may be the more important positions,
and other economic positions be the 'throwaway'.
Yes, the Liberals are that deluded.
I also don't think the Mexicans give a hoot about any of the 'progressive' agenda,
and the real focus will be on Mexico.
And giving Trump a spin win. This is a lot more important than many realize.
If the Libs think the solution to NAFTA is to raise Mexican minimum wage and some BS
environmental standards.. we're screwed.
