Of course, those shoves into the boards from behind at full speed weren't meant to injure.

You truly don't have a f*cking clue. Probably never played the game either.

It was.

Oh, I see Bruins fans are defending Marchand by pointing fingers at another player. The old, "Others did bad things too, so he's allowed" defence......

I don't think it's that.

It's his instance that that Lapierre is nothing like Marchand, when he is just like him just with a lot less skill.

Yet the first thing out of a Bruins fans mouth on this thread was.....

Quote:
And Lapierre continues to run around flapping his gums and jumping guys from behind

Not that what Marchand did was wrong, or even defending Marchands actions, just..."LOOK, LOOK, LOOK what he did!!!!!!!"

Christ take a pill dude lol. Are you secretly Maxy Lapierre??

Clearly, you've never played the game. It's a still-motion hip-check called clipping. Hip checks have been in the game and celebrated.

Do you complain when someone hip checks someone? It's just as dangerous and brutal on the head and knees.

If you think ramming someone into the boards from behind isn't as dangerous as clipping, you're talking out your ass.

He's another Canuck hip checking another player:

And another on Lucic: (notice the Canuck player turtle like a chiken-shit)

Negative. You just keep throwing crap at the wall hoping something will stick. Sorry, Marchand is in a class by himself.

Only three years in the league and fined or suspended by the league three times. Yep, Marchand is doing well.

On the bright side, you and him have something in common.

Well considering he was a Team Canada junior, plays in the NHL, has a Stanley Cup, set a team record for goals in the playoffs by a rookie (and tied the league record), scored 21 as a rookie regualar season, is on the way to eclipsing that this year, and is out 152,000 large for missing 5 games, (which equates to a pretty good fucking salary) I'd say he's doing better than you probably

Probably, but considering I'm almost 45 and been retired for about 5 years or so now, I'm not exactly complaining.
My point was however, that too many fines and suspensions makes a player unwanted no matter what his skill lvl may be. So what if he was the highest scoring rookie in the playoffs? He can't put points on the board when he's suspended for being an asshole.

29 other teams would take Marchand today.

Pronger has been suspended 7-8 times, including chopping a guy in the throat yet he's considered one of the best defencemen in the game.

Marchand will calm down and grow up a bit. He has the skill to take him further.

Those who are defending Lapieceofshits actions while calling Marchands suspension not being long enough have no fucking clue about hockey let alone the intent to injure rule.

Lapieceofshit needs to be beaten within a inch of his life.

SO are you trying to say that Marchand wasn't t rying to injury Salo when he drove his shoulder into his knee? SOunds like you don't know much about the intent to injure rule.

I would like to suggest you actually look at the video and if need be down load it and play it frame by frame.

You can clearly see Marchand is already low and Salo sees it and turns his butt toward him. Marchants point of contact is directly below the left cheek of Salo. Ability to prove intent to injure not found.
