Stupid, STUPID, STUPID!!!!

You good folks would be well advised to note that the Mexicans claim that BC and Alberta are rightfully theirs in addition to most of the USA west of the Mississippi.

What's the big deal? They come and do a job (that Canadians won't do) and then go home after the harvest. They are treated like Canadians and earn the same salary as Canadians, are covered by health care (through payroll deductions). Check out the website;

http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/epb/lmd/fw/seasagri.shtml

Sounds like a good system to me. If it means Mexicans develop a fondness for Canada, how is that a bad thing? Even if they want to immigrate illegally, they have to get though the USA first. :wink:

$1:

Do you guys complain about all the Aussies who work in places like Whistler?

Aussies speak English and are mostly Anglo/Celtic people much like Canada is. Why complain about them?

How was mine dopey? Australians are like Canadians. What do some Spaniards crossed with Aztecs/Mayans have to do with Canada? :P

It’ll be hard to convince employers, if their all having the same success as a local greenhouse owner here is with Mexican workers. He has replaced 50 - 55 Canadian women with 30 Mexican women. He was always having problems filling his orders cause he never knew how many locals would show up for work, they were always whining that this hurt and that hurt, my kids playing ball or soccer and I can’t come in for work type situations. Now with the Mexicans he is having a problem finding them enough work to finish off the day. He did have one problem with them and that was because of our cold spring, he wasn’t moving any product, so he cut them back to 11 hours a day and they threatened to go back home if they didn’t get the 12 hours a day they were hired for.

They want to come here to work and live, just like British, Scottish, Irish, French, German, Polish, Ukrainian, Hungarian, Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese people did and still do. The issue shouldn't be if we allow them to come, but that they be treated well when they are here.

Yes the last lot sure fit in quite well didn't they? ;) I'm just looking at the United States and how much a problem Hispanics are becoming for them and repeating what they did might not be the best idea.

British includes the Scottish by the way.

No, screw Mexicans. They are the reason why other Latinos get a bad rap.

P.S. They speak English, holmes.
