That's not even counting the cost of the current mission they want to extend. They need 3billion a year. cAncel the income sharing, and they're most of the way there. Surely people would be happy to give up some tax relief to support the military.

How the fuck can the Military be unaffordable. There's no equipment of personnel left FFS and if I was to hazard a guess it'd be that we'll see even more and larger cuts before the next election because, like every Gov't before this one you can always count on getting votes by screwing over the military.

There should be an official inquiry done just so they can generate another high-falutin' white paper all of the parties will equally ignore. We can either concentrate on national defense or concentrate on being able to project power overseas. Can't do both at the same time, which everyone has been well aware of for decades but no one's ever bothered to get their act together and put the revised and modernized mission statements into motion.
