After three Wildrose defectors failed in their bids to win Tory nominations, the Progressive Conservatives have acclaimed another former Wildroser in Chestermere-Rocky View.

Bruce McAllister, who joined former Wildrose leader Danielle Smith in crossing the floor to the ruling Tories last year, was appointed late Saturday night after the PC Alberta Nomination Committee’s decision to disallow his competitor’s candidacy.

It came on the heels of Smith and two other floor crossers, Gary Bikman in Cardston-Taber-Warner and Rod Fox in Lacombe-Ponoka, losing nomination battles Saturday.
