Is the CAW smokin' crack.
Are they gonna look at Ottawa to ole out my tax dollars everytime, one of thier over paid unionized workforce comes close to loosing thier jobs.

Looks like they just want the employees kept on so they can keep paying thier union dues to keep Ken in a job

$1:
"Less than a month after griping about Ottawa “interfering” in its talks with Chrysler Canada Inc., the Canadian Auto Workers appears to have done an about-face in adopting a new strategy for its negotiations at Air Canada that leans heavily on government intervention."

Self serving crap.

At some point during this recession, someone is going to have to explain that business is business. If it fails, it fails. Provide some assistance including training for those who become unemployed.

Don't try and prop up a failing business because it "feels bad to see it go".

Hummm Air Canada is no longer nationalized. Why should the Government interfere ? I knew that becayse of GM/Chrysler, other companies will come to get some money too... Have we not lost enough money in failing companies ?

Privatization failed?

It certainly would when shareholders can hold no more than 10% of the airline.
