This is turning into a VERY strange story. A week ago, the police told Belleville women to be very careful, avoid travelling alone, mix-up routines, etc.

Good idea. I doubt this guy just woke up and decided to do this one day. Escalating to murder might be new for him, but he's probably been raping for quite a while. Assuming they've got the right guy, of course. But that should be able to be settled with DNA pretty quickly.

Most military people move around Canada frequently, every 3 years or so.

I would expect that every police agency that was adjacent to where the suspect lived will be contacted and missing persons files/unsolved attacks will be gone through with a fine toothcomb.

I would expect more victims to surface.

I've gotta agree with Andy and EB. The police would not be moving forward with charges against someone in his position unless they had near 100% proof that he is guilty. I've also heard rumblings that they are looking very closely at his previous postings. I don't expect these are the only crimes he may be guilty of.

This is hard to imagine on one hand you think how far he has fallen from being a top commander to imprisoned criminal, yet on the other hand any sympathy should go towards his victims as he certainly doesn't deserve any.

I agree. He's probably been doing this for ages and only now got arrogant and sloppy in his methods and that led to his capture. There's probably a lot more victims out there both dead and alive.
