In this country you can sue anybidy for everything. We have a whole culture of it. You can sue if your coffee is hot. You can sue if after eating at McDs three times a day makes you fat.
Charlie Sheen was fired after being a first class Jackass and given that the Supreme Court has ruled that it is entirely appropriate to have anti-guy demonstrators interrunpt fallen soldiers funerals he might win.

The moral of the story is that doing cocaine, beating you wife and acting like a first class JO may actually pay, just like the woman who ordered hot coffee who actually got hot coffee.

Well, in his defense, it seems like he was always on time and sober on shoots, so there wouldn't be a reason to fire him there. Furthermore, what he does in his bedroom or elsewhere in his spare time, is none of anybodies business...

You are mostly right, regarding the TV show he did everything they asked. However he also went on some radio show or TV show where he insulted Two and a Half Men's Producer or w/e, in general Sheen's boss. Any other work place where you went up to your boss and insulted him either infront of him or behind his back. You'd would be fired would be my guess. If not, correct me if I am wrong on that. I think Sheen should be treated no differently than anybody else would if they did the same thing. I don't watch the show so I don't really care who gets fired or who sued who in regards to that.

Unless he signed a morals clause which by locking hookers in you're bathroom while ODing on Coke may be considered a bit of a breech.

I heard he was trying to get out of his contract last year but CBS held him to it. So I kinda wonder if this whole thing isn't a bit of an act to get out of that contract and pick up a few million while doing it?

Keep in mind though the person he insulted, Chuck Lorre. Lorre was insulting Sheen publically via vanity cards at the end of episodes on a regular basis. Where I worked if my boss harassed me I'd could probably try a few things to stop that, but firing him wouldn't be one of them.

Sheen shot back once and got canned for it, period. Then this Vatican Assassin spectacle began. People have to put aside how this guy lives his life, his boss never had a problem with it before. Until Sheen defended himself.

It's show business anyways, different sort of rules apply to the workplace. Sheen is infamous for his crazy lifestyle and considering his character on 2.5 men that is loosely based on him. I find it pretty telling that his boss fired him over an insult when they never had a problem with his crazy lifestyle before.

He showed up for work, did his job, made the network a 1/4 billion. Model employee in my business.

I'm not a big fan of the show but this is a sickening display of how fragile the egos are of powerfull people in showbusiness.

Loosely based? I'd say the show is almost a 100% autobiography!

I thought the term "reality show" inferred that reality would have very little to do with it
