Funny how it will be Obama's fault for the US getting nuked, not Bush/Cheney who had 8 years to get rid of these assholes and spent it instead lining their own pockets (and those of their oil buddies) with oil profits in Iraq. And just like it was Clinton's fault for not firing a cruise missile at Bin Laden in 1998.

Why is it that conservatives insist everyone take responsiblity for their own actions but refuse to do so themselves?

The same thing as Bush when he had a briefing about "Bin Laden determined to strike in America"...lining his (and his buddy's) pockets.

Neither one is innocent.

It's just sickening that the Republicans have the nerve to pass off the failure to kill Bin Laden and wipe out El Qaeda on the Democrats when they've just pissed away 8 years themselves. Hell, it was under the Republicans that Bin Laden and the Taliban got trained anyways, when Reagan and Bush Sr. were in office.

If you want to criticize Clinton for failing to kill Bin Laden, then you have to do the same with Dubya and Cheney.

Yeah he did fire cruise missiles at him in 1998, they destroyed his factories in afghanistan...too bad they missed....for future reference I believe they fired the missiles in september/ october that year.....my ship was in the gulf enforcign UN sanctions against Iraq.

They had another opportunity to take out Bin Laden at a well-known safe house (in Kandahar I believe). Maybe it was with a commando team and not cruise missiles, I'm not totally sure, but I saw it on a History TV show a few months back. The show said that Clinton didn't give the order, for two reasons; the first batch missed him, and the Republicans had accused him of using the missiles to deflect criticism in the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
