Chief Stewart better be careful.

An uprising will air everybody's dirty laundry.

Feds, and Chiefs alike.

$1:
The B.C. chiefs are also asking the government to accelerate the stalled comprehensive treaty process, work with the B.C. government to improve resource revenue-sharing, agree that aboriginal “consent” is needed on “major industrial developments” — an apparent reference to the $5.5-billion Northern Gateway pipeline from the Alberta oilsands to the B.C. coast — and “revisit” the $5.1-billion Kelowna Accord for First Nations that was killed when Harper took office in 2006.

R=UP

Harper is going to be forced to admit they were wrong to scrap the Kelowna accord, and to explain why they have dragged their feet for the last 6 years on this issue. Its time to stop blaming the opposition for nothing getting done, they're out of excuses and the record shows the Harperites are the ones preventing progress.

Good idea, let's give the natives consent, so they can blackmail us even more. The Supreme Court said 'meaningful consultation' not consent.

The national chiefs are asking for scrapping of the Indian act, nothing less. I agree with that, no more band aids.

“The world is watching.”

One thing I guarantee:

The World doesn't give a fuck about Natives in Canada.

There are billions of people in this world who would love to have the standards,
breaks, respect and money for nothing but drinking and drugging that Natives get.

Close the reserves, let these people become Canadian.

At least they haven't taken over someone else's property by force lately. Well not yet anyway.

It's all their property, they were here first. In BC, the natives own 110% of the land area, or so they say.

Steven 'one man show' Harper Steven 'one man show' Harper:
“To be sure, our government has no grand scheme to repeal or to unilaterally re-write the Indian Act. After 136 years, that tree has deep roots,” he said. “Blowing up the stump would leave a big hole.”

Way to start a negotiation, with a declaration that nothing will change.
