Get back on topic please. This isn't about me, it's about how Mexican drug gangs forced a police chief to retire. It's about how drug gangs have taken control of that small town.

I keep having to take time out from ESP Hitchens thread so enough is enough.

Its no surprise that illegal activity brings the most violence. It did when alcohol was illegal. It always does.

In the case of rights... drugs should be legal.

The logic is unbeatable.

Go talk to Obama then and stop wasting our time here.
Making drugs illegal in Canada or Mexico isn't going to make a difference when their being smuggled into the US.

They are currently illegal in both countries.

Did you mean "legal". I think you did. Making them legal would benefit out countries and force the US to resolve their drug issues.

It would benefit all.

Banning guns in both the US and Canada followed quickly by large scale enforcement collecting all guns and ammo and closing all gun shops would obviously eliminate all gun crime.

Its retarded to think that you can fight drugs with bans yet cry foul when they are enacted against your things.

Civilian guns are pretty much banned in Mexico yet they obviously have a hell of a problem with drug gangs, don't they? It dosen't look like making drugs legal in Mexico would help either.

Were any of these murders in BC committed with legal firearms? Of course not.

Drop the analogy. It's just stupid.

Actually far less is banned in Mexico then you think. Thats why you cried that drugs laws which you though were permissive paved the way for violence.

Mexico is a testiment to your beliefs.

They emulate your views, they emulate your instructions, and they emulate our intelligence.

They need to adopt a legalization strategy.
