http://www.cnn.com/

I'm not posting to a particular article as updates are being posted as new articles.

The story is breaking and more details are yet to come but it seems that a 'flaperon' from a Boeing 777 was found on the shore of Reunion Island. The only 777 missing in the area that could have lost that part is MH370.

Lots of speculation right now. We'll probably know more tomorrow.

Interesting development to be sure.

Naturally, CNN is on this like white on rice to the exclusion of everything else happening in the world.

It seems to be that CNN more or less focuses on one story at a time these days and they let their sister network (HLN - Headline News) cover the news in general.

It could still be anywhere in the Indian Ocean. Flash up the supercomputer and see if they can reverse the trajectory of a piece of floating debris and perhaps narrow down the search area.

Maybe, there is even a debris trail to be had.

MH370 search: Malaysia almost certain debris found is from Boeing 777

Malaysia is "almost certain" that plane debris found on Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean is from a Boeing 777, the deputy transport minister said Thursday, heightening the possibility it could be wreckage from missing Flight MH370.

Meanwhile, CNN reported via Twitter the part number from the debris discovered on the island "corresponds to a Boeing 777 aircraft," according to a source.

The object, which appeared to be part of a wing, was being sent to offices of France's BEA crash investigation agency in Toulouse to verify if was indeed the first trace of the lost plane to be found, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said.

They also found part of a suitcase on the beach. If nothing else, those people can be officially declared dead, which may help the survivors.

Because the planet is big, and the ocean is deep. And we don't have the ability to be everywhere all the time.

And also the plane likely crashed in the most remote and least charted part of the ocean.
