So New Brunswick has something a little exciting coming from it finally?

You honestly never hear any news from poor New Brunswick, :( Same with Saskatchewan.

And the Wildlife folks here will tell there are none. Even after we pointed out obvious tracks in the CB Highlands 20 years ago. They said that they were Lynx tracks.......... It was one HUGE motherin Lynx then.....LOL

people have sworn to have seen them over the years but have always been dismissed as they had no evidence to back up their claims.

They are gorgeous animals, that's for sure.

I think it was the year before last, someone down the street from us went to open her patio door to let her cat inside. When she looked outside, she saw a much bigger kitty sitting on the deck.

We get a few cougars hanging out around the edges of town.

lily lily:
I've seen a cougar up close - they're one of the most beautiful animals.

Yes they are lily, but up close, no thanks. 8O

NB gets excited about a cougar, well in Kingston we have a wild turkey who is a big news item right now. He seems to spend most of his time walking up and down Hwy 15, I even found him in my front yard 2 days ago. He'd better be careful, turkey season opens soon and I could use a good 25 pounder in the freezer!

In the past week there was a reported sighting of a cougar in the Strathroy, ON area. There were also numerous reported sightings last year near there.
