Yes. I found it paradoxically greasy yet lean, somewhat tough, but flavorful. Akin to eating grass fed goose.

I kind of figured it would be somewhat oily. As with any wild game it would make all the difference in how it's handled and prepared.

If you don't want to eat the seal, don't eat the seal.

What I tell my vegan daughter. The fucking lamb ate the vegetables for me.

Never tried seal. The kids in Newfoundland said "Good. We'd like you to come visit again sometime"

Why is eating seal a controversy?

Because of the controversy over the seal hunt mostly.

Hunting free range animals for consumption is a controversy?

but they're little seal babies that are bashed on the head and then skinned for their fur. And look good next to Brigitte Bardot.

Seal Flipper Pie is a Newfoundland delicacy I've tried. It's the most disgusting thing you can imagine, and if it's possible - reheated as leftovers it is worse. PDT_Armataz_01_32

I feel sympathy for the poor bastards who have to hunt seal to put meat on the table.

What the kids said, left it off the Newfy welcome smorg and said it makes you wish it was haggis instead...
