Techncially it's illegal to serve anyone more than one drink in BC, or to be out in public after having consumed more than one drink. Probably true in most other Canadian jurisdictions too.

In Winnipeg I was out with a buddy one night and we ordered a pitcher of draft and was informed that they can only serve pitchers to groups of three or more!

So we told the waitress our buddy was parking the car and she brought us the pitcher and three glasses. I guess our other buddy just forgot to come into the bar!

I never go fish without booze, even in public places. I understand not drinking and driving a snowmobile but drinking while sitting on your chair and watching your lines ? WTF

It makes me think about something: Lake Temiscaming between Ontario and Quebec. People of Ontario come to fish in Quebec (after the "border" which is about in the middle of the lake) so they can drink beer in their boat. You can't drink booze in a boat in Ontario but in Quebec, you can. Only the driver needs to stay below 0.08.
