How much heat do you really get off a couple of incandescent light bulbs?
sounds like hogwash to me...somebody is looking for a research grant.

Years ago I owned a '59 Volvo, It didn't have a block heater. For two winters I would just lay a 75w floodlight against the block and close the hood. The car started in the coldest weather.
One of my brothers' uses a blue 75w bulb to heat his dogs' house.

From my experience, a (example) 20w fluorescent light that says it's a 100w incandescent light bulb is totally untrue. I buy fluo bulbs but it's no where what they are saying on the box.

Dont be giving out all our Redneck tricks at once ya hear?
The lightbulb worked better then the three 1500 watt heaters that I tried once on my ol 66 chev 910 4x4.
That was back in the day that three 1500 watt heaters would blow all the fuses in your box,the glass ones that you could fix by putting a penny under to short out the fuse.

Not a good thing to do,that was before breaker box's and all that new stuff! [B-o]
Good times! Good times!

Working away from home all these years, what woman would have me?
You either work in the mines in my hometown or you work out of town, which I have for many years now. I'm more comfy in my sleeping bag then my bed. :|
That's why my house gets thrashed when I'm gone.
The housekeeper is now acting like a teenager. :|

Bet it does not work as well as a tiger torch and a squashed culvert! That is if the car is already frozen up.
