What about wolf hybrids or any other human stopping dog... dont just pick on pitbulls..... I have one... He is afraid of kittens,plastic bags , street level sewers ect... I said afraid not in a way were he feels he has to atack.
he has his fears, but he is never afraid of an univited person on our turf(house yard)... he has no knowlege of our restrictions, just his afection and urge to protect his home. In a good way... hes a bark first bite later kinda dog.
My dog has never biten anyone and has only growld. If you want to be smart you would look online and see that most dog bites are from chiwawa's , cocker spainials poodles, dalmations ect... does that make those dogs dangerouse all of a sudden... it makes those breeds more dangerouse then my pit... pits are like prize fighting boxers, there leathal when in a fight, but it aint about to fight the general public for no reason. ESPECIALLY THERE OWNERS.. get me ?
Pit bulls actually scored really high on the tests for agression and temper.

I think the cop dogs had no clue what there stupid police handleres were bringen em into and when the dogs had encountered the pitbull it was a fight, no pit would let some cocky police dog eat there food on there own lawn? are u kiddin me?. BTW pitbulls have over 3000pounds of presure in there bite when they mean it... the cops were rite to be scared for there german sheperds.. they woulda been pit food....but i dont think the dog would have atacked the cops. but its more then possible and maybe they shoulda tried to subdue the dog with another method... y bring a gun to a dog fight??? ( btw I know a girl who was bit by a cop dog when she was 14) lets ban police from haveing german shepards!lets give em lassy sheep dogs. They already have clubs ,mase and all sorts of guns,,,
no dog is safe from a human if the human wants to kill the dog, I think the laws against killn a cop dog are strong enough to keep the dog safe from a criminal!!! y cant the law be that strict with child molestors or murderers.

I am angry even hearing some ppls coments.... The dog was totally in the rite... people need to start haveing an open mind... do some research before you through around ideas that other impressionable people will latch on too and repeat!!!... honestly its like raceism hateing on pits... they are a race of dogs that every one hates... but if you just met one you would change your mind and want one. They are so not as bad as made out to be.
Oh and I have seen pits take a beeting by asshole owners and I mean a beating, ( broom sticks , flicked in the nuts ect) I was helpless to help em and a lil scared back then , it was before I owned one....
Those dogs did nothin.... I watched those same dogs rip apart a fence like it was dog chow , but THEY DIDNT KILL THERE OWNERS....
It takes alot for pitbulls to lash out against a human since they have been bred to be human tolerant.... but Im not saying dont be leary of pits since so many owners mistreat there dogs.
but it take nothin for em to take one down aswell...
other dogs how ever, should fear the pitbull. with there fight to the death mentality, After all for as long as the breed has been around it has been bred to kill other dogs, bait bears, bait bulls, defend humans. It used to be the number one family dog. it was nick named the nanny dog because it would let children do anything and it would not snap..
