I know what you mean. In 3 years, I've managed to get my little MiniCab running again but still needs a new exhaust.
No garage, shit weather, waited for friends who wanted to help, etc.
Bought a Saturn Vue in 2005 and a Wrangler in 2014 you just open the hood and it says 'Don't even try -call a mechanic, stupid.' not that either ever needed one. All I've done is attach bling I ordered online...

Not the CASE tractor we had, maybe dad just kept it running well. I preferred the 1956 (I think) Ford Tractor we had at the cottage, mind you.

You'd be a rockstar at all the tractor pulls. Hell, you could showcase that at the International Plowing Match.

Dad pretty much built his farm with a CASE 4490.

You could fit the tools required to split that tractor in half in two back pockets.

180 degrees to the current trend of making shit impossible to fix yourself.

Government didn't cause all of the other tractor manufacturers to stop competing. They may have banned old polluting tractors (unless you upgraded them so they don't pollute). But Massey Ferguson, Kubota, Fendt, Deutz-Fahr, Class and Case (to name a few) all make modern tractors that don't pollute....

checkmate

The point was to force people to give up their paid-for equipment and then force them into buying the new equipment that REQUIRES that almost all service has to go through the dealers.

You literally just pulled that out of your ass.
All of those other manufacturers sell Tractors worldwide and allow servicing of them by anyone who wants to, and provide spare parts, and manuals.

Actually, I pulled it out of The Guardian.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment ... eere-apple

And then I correlated the donations from John Deere with the sponsors and votes for AB 32.

https://www.deere.com/assets/pdfs/commo ... 0cycle.pdf

https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/face ... 520060AB32

You look for yourself and you'll see it for yourself.

Annnnnnnd now you can't read. Clearly.
Yes, John Deere is a shit company. But there are dozens of others that aren't run the same way and don't require you to have all service done through them. Selective memory much?
