I'm looking at buying a gated comunity home in Florida as well. In the developement the prices are definately down but they're still buidling new ones and selling them. They start at around1800sq feet and go right up to 4000+ Sq feet. Lots of British people have bought there.

I've been looking around Arizona as well. Some of the deals to be had From about $10,000 for a furnished 3 br-2 bath mobile in a private park all the way up to lavish lakefront homes. There's no end to the listings.
