I've never seen any flying saucers or little green men, but I'm also not close-minded enough to think that earth is the only planet with life forms.

I'm with you on this. Myself, it would not surprise me if extraterrestrial life is discovered someday. It also would not surprise me if it already has been discovered and is being kept secret simply because a lot of trivial things are kept secret and this would not be trivial.

I don't think anyone is seriously saying that little green men don't exist because odds are they do. I think preperations for their comming are as questionable as building an arc for a biblical flood though.

Yup, I am sure complex organisms are alive somewhere out in space, but they are probably billions of light years away.
