Of course it's bullshit. They have no idea what's killing the cows but there are solar panels and windmills in the area.
If it floats it must be made of wood and therefore a witch!
Specially if you're a lawyer and witches have money...
Uh, yeah. Farmer's raise their cattle in a particular place for years, nothing weird happens to them. Suddenly they start dying off and the only thing that has changed over the years are these new wind and solar installations. Not saying they are the cause but basic observation could certainly lead one to that conclusion, especially if you're the farmer whose cattle suddenly started dying.

Coincidence is not causality. And if turbines cause cow deaths in France, why not in the rest of the world?

This may sound a bit silly, but is there any chance France's insular ideology on animal husbandry, and current conservation efforts, have caused weaknesses that are now becoming apparent?

We may laugh, but imagine being the head of a family that has bred and raised this specific type of cattle for the last 500 years. Maybe your family are even the one's that bred this breed type in the first place.

It would be extremely difficult to admit that a breeding error has occurred, or that the breed even has a genetic weakness.

There would be an immense amount of pressure, both internally and from other family members, to find anything else at fault.

Ignoring possible errors or issues with the herd doesn't help the situation. Take ownership of your mistakes or you will fail every time.

Easily said, yet almost never done.

We just watched politicians, both foreign and internal, do this.

We just watched a multi-billion corp do this.

You'll NOTE that I didn't claim it was the cause. I'm saying if you're a cattle farmer and suddenly your cattle start dying and the ONLY thing that has changed is new wind and solar installations in the area, it wouldn't be an unreasonable conclusion. Who knows, maybe it's the constant low frequency noise that's affecting the cattle. Continuous low frequency noise sure has a detrimental affect on some humans.

But that is exactly what you are saying! Right there! The farmers assume that because there are now turbines, and their cows die, that they must be the cause. Coincidence is not causality!

Has someone sprayed something new upwind? Is there new pollution in the water? Have the cows become so inbred they can't keep their hearts beating?

Until there is a link between the renewable sources and cow fatalities, it is premature to blame anything. And farmers are not know for their in depth science research skills. ;)

Turbines don't make low frequency noise. The blades move through the air slower than the wind, so it's impossible for them to make noise. The generators might make noise, but it's not low frequency.

The windmills were from a Bulgarian manufacturer formerly know for making diesel-electric marital aids for the USSR. 93% of power generated is designed to leak to ground in order heat the pig iron components and keep the turbines from freezing. Of course such a high current generates a huge magnetic field in the soil nearby.
That field reacts with iron in the cow's blood and pulls it away from their topside to the lower belly resulting in low oxygen levels in the brain that eventually causes them to forget to breathe and wither away.
I just made this up in my head and posted it on the Internet so it must be fact. As soon as I contact a lawyer and the alcoholic reporter/publisher of the local Deadwood Chronicle Weekly it will be indisputable and free to use by those who post every disparaging story from anywhere in the world to supposedly justify their stubborn ass backwards dislike of anything alternative energy, pro environment or seemingy more progressive than 1953 technology.
