If "black" and "Chinese" are no longer politically correct, I sincerely apologize. Otherwise, you owe me an apology.

Yeah, but I meant "seriously" as in, "I can't believe you'd actually be offended by a piece of gum and an animated ogre."

and I can't understand why black people would be offended at the Fuzzy Zoeller-Tiger Woods fried chicken joke. They're both harmless, good hearted jabs at racial stereotypes. Either both jokes are acceptable or both aren't.

No more or less than minstrel shows from the 1930s.

 Wow.

You know, I do see your point. If I stand in a crowd of people and speak with a Scots accent, it might elicit a grin - speak like a native, or a Hindu, or Chinese, then maybe it'll get some embarrased looks. There is a double standard - I don't think too many would argue.

That being said, I think it would be the height of stupidity to give way to PC nonsense and remove all the ability to have fun with ourselves.

It all depends on who your audience is, Im sure that if you were with your friends and busted out an Apu voice you would get a giggle. If you were in Sheepsheer Scotland and tried out a cheesy Scottish accent you'd get asked if you were taking a piss.

It depends on your intent as much as your audience.

I dont agree, you could mean to be very funny but still come across as a racist. A joke to a group of white people may not be funny to a group of chinese people.

You might say "kinda like a Frenchman's never gonna get 'pull-my-finger".
